Matte vs. Glossy / / Finishing Options for PolyJet Parts

PolyJet D Printer

Are you unsure of whether to choose matte or glossy when placing an order for PolyJet parts? That is a common question many designers and engineers have when choosing that 3D printing technology. If you choose matte, expect a uniform finish with porous surface that is ideal for post-processing (e.g. gluing, sanding, painting, dying and other options). If you choose glossy, there is much more to consider such as geometry, orientation and other factors to achieve smooth and shiny surfaces. In the video below, Applications Engineer Kaitlyn Bailey explains what you need to know about matte versus glossy finishing options for PolyJet-based parts.
