Fathom’s Year-Over-Year Growth Earns Ranking on ICIC’s Annual List as Published in FORTUNE—Third Year Straight on List of 100 Fastest-Growing Urban Companies in America
Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) and FORTUNE have announced that Fathom has placed on the 2016 Inner City 100 List for the third consecutive year. Posting a 5-year growth of 816 percent, Fathom ranked as NO. 13. From a high-tech commercial fishing outlet in Boston to a socially responsible apparel company in Oakland, there’s great variety in the types of businesses thriving in America’s urban centers and creating jobs where they are needed most.
The company is currently undergoing its largest expansion to date, doubling the size of its production center at its headquarters in Oakland to accommodate its customers’ growing need for accelerated manufacturing services—from prototype fabrication to low volume to bridge-to-production capabilities.
Earlier this year, Fathom announced a partnership with Israel-based Nano Dimension, making it the first American company to offer additive-based systems capable of 3D printing circuit boards. Fathom also ranked for the fourth straight year on the annual Inc. 500|5000 of fastest growing private companies in the United States and placed within the top 20 manufacturers in the nation on the list.
